This Norwegian Beta Glucan is extracted from the cell walls of baker's yeast but does not contain significant enough amounts of yeast proteins to cause yeast allergies. It does not fight any specific diseases directly; it helps to make your own immune system function at an optimal level. Taking baker's yeast by itself will not help you because of its large percentage of fat, which is not readily absorbed by your body. Immutol's fat content is about 4%.
